Di Luca Ceramics

Miniature vase
Pickup currently unavailable
This miniature ceramic piece is entirely wheel-thrown and crafted using the Saggar firing technique. Despite its small size, it undergoes the same meticulous process as larger works: carefully finished with three layers of terra sigillata to achieve a soft, natural sheen. The surface remains unglazed, preserving its raw, organic beauty.
Each miniature is bisque-fired, then Raku-fired in a specialized kiln. During the Saggar firing, the piece is enclosed with organic materials that react to the heat, leaving behind unpredictable and unique patterns.
Dimensions:
Diameter: ~4 cm
Height: ~5 cm
Unique Features:
Smooth, natural finish with soft color variations
Matte, unglazed surface for a raw, earthy feel
Each piece is completely unique due to the nature of the firing process
Craftsmanship:
Every miniature is handmade in my studio in Urbino, Italy, with the same care and attention as larger works. From shaping to firing, I personally oversee each step. Every piece bears the Di Luca Ceramics stamp, a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship.
Care Instructions:
Not frost-proof; avoid outdoor display
Clean gently with a soft cloth
To enhance the finish, liquid wax may be applied
This low-fired piece is delicate and not watertight; not suitable for liquids or food
A small-scale piece of ceramic art, perfect for collectors or as a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift.
