Unwrapped Egg L Saggar Fired

This handcrafted ceramic egg is created using the Saggar firing technique. The egg is initially shaped using a press mold and then finished on the wheel to ensure a smooth, refined surface. Three layers of terra sigillata are carefully applied to give the egg a soft, polished sheen.

Each egg is bisque-fired and then Saggar-fired in a Raku kiln. The striking colors and patterns on the egg come naturally from the interaction of organic materials such as salt, sugar, and leaves during the firing process. No glaze is used, allowing the natural elements to shape its unique appearance.
