Unwrapped Heart S Saggar Fired
Ritiro al momento non disponibile
This handcrafted ceramic heart is made using the Saggar firing technique, blending natural elements and artistic craftsmanship. The heart is shaped using a press mold and then carefully finished by hand to create a smooth, tactile surface. Three layers of terra sigillata are applied for a soft, elegant sheen, enhancing the natural beauty of the piece.
Each heart is bisque fired and then Saggar fired in a Raku kiln. Unlike glazed ceramics, this piece relies on organic materials like salt, sugar, and leaves to create its rich, unpredictable colors and patterns. No glaze is used, allowing the natural elements to shape its appearance.
Dimensions:
- Length: 5 to 6 cm
- Width: 6 to 7 cm
- Height: 2 cm
- Two small holes allow for easy hanging with a nylon thread, making it versatile for display.
Unwrapped Collection:
Welcome to the Unwrapped Collection, where each Saggar-fired piece is a mystery waiting to be discovered. Crafted with the unpredictable beauty of earth, fire, and artistry, these unique works are never revealed until after firing, making each purchase an exciting journey of discovery.
What makes these pieces stand out is the element of surprise. The final colors and patterns remain hidden until you unwrap your artwork, embracing the beauty of unpredictability. With no images of the interior available before purchase, this collection is perfect for those who enjoy the thrill of unveiling a truly unique piece of art.
Please note that due to the nature of this collection, returns or exchanges based on personal preferences are not offered. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, meant to be appreciated for its mystery and individuality.
Care Instructions:
- These pieces are not frost-proof and should not be used outdoors.
- Gently wipe the surface with a cloth to remove dust.
- For added shine, use a liquid wax to protect the finish and prevent humidity stains.
- As a low-fired ceramic, it is delicate and not watertight, making it unsuitable for holding liquids or food.
Each piece in the Unwrapped Collection is handmade in my studio, Di Luca Ceramics, located in Urbino, Italy.
